Watercress is type of cabbage family (Brassicaceae), whereas its botanical name is Nasturtium Officinale. As a matter of fact, it is one of the oldest vegetable on our planet. We can easily divide it into three segments. Their hollow stem can float. Whereas the leaf structure is a multi-divided feature arising from the both sides of common axis. Last but not the least is the cluster of small white and green flowers.

In 1808, United Kingdom started its cultivation on the first time in their history. Ever since the trend is all growing in UK. USA has even a distinction in this regards as Alabama was famous as the “watercress capital of the world”.
