Rocca Leaves

Rocca Leaves are a kind of cruciferous vegetable that might not be as well known as other vegetables but offers many of the same benefits as broccoli, kale, and Brussels Sprouts. These Leaves are bite-sized with tender leaves and a tangy flavor. A certain chemical in Rocca also helps with slowing down the progression of cancerous cells.

These Leaves are also famous as “Arugula” in some part of the world. The Mediterranean region is regarded as native for it.And that is why rocca is very much popular vegetable in Lebanon. World renowned food-experts recommend rocca leaves as extra topping for pizza, wraps and sandwiches. Surprisingly,  one can use them as an alternate of  various types of  lettuce and herbs. In addition to that their flowers, seeds, leaves… everything is edible.
