Swiss Chard (Ruby Chard)
Description
Swiss Ruby Chard is considered to be one of the healthiest vegetables available. It was first cultivated by the Romans and is known by a number of common names such as Swiss Chard, Silver beet and Mangold. It is often used in Mediterranean cooking. While the leaves are always green the chard stalks vary in color.
This Arabic Chard variety is well adapted to local growing condition. It has a lovely texture and a milder taste then some of the more known varieties which makes it particularly suitable for fresh consumption.
